Dr. Chan is an IVF urologist at OriginElle Fertility Clinic & Women’s Health Centre. He received his medical degree from McGill University, where he also completed training in general surgery and urology. Dr. Chan now serves as an Associate Professor of the Department of Surgery at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Dr. Chan received his fellowship in Reproductive Medicine and Advanced Microsurgery at Cornell University, training with Drs. Peter Schegel and Mark Goldstein. He also completed a fellowship in human molecular genetics from the Population Council at Rockefeller University.
Dr. Chan has clinical interests in male infertility, reproductive medicine, microsurgery and andrology. His other clinical interests include erectile and sexual dysfunction.
Dr. Chan has authored many publications, and his research interests and expertise include genetics in male infertility and the impacts of chemotherapy and environmental toxins on male fertility. He is also involved in research in microsurgery technique development and training, as well as multi-media application in medical education. He is the recipient of numerous research grants from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada as well as many others.
